YOU'RE AN EXTREME REDNECK WHEN.....

1. You let your 14-year-old daughter smoke at the dinner table in front of her kids

2. The Blue Book value of your truck goes up and down depending on how much gas

3. You've been married three times and still have the same in-laws.

4. You think a woman who is 'out of your league' bowls on a different night.

5. You wonder how service stations keep their rest-rooms so clean.

6. Someone in your family died right after saying, 'Hey, y'all, watch this.'

7. You think Dom Perignon is a Mafia leader.

8. Your wife's hairdo was once ruined by a ceiling fan.

9. Your junior prom offered child care.

10. You think the last words of the 'Star-Spangled Banner' are 'Gentlemen, start your engines'

11. You lit a match in the bathroom and your house exploded right off its wheels.

Rolling Thunder Mad Dog Motorcycle Club Ride Report
(Ride Captain - Snoopy and Fine Master - Free Willy)

This ride started in New England for me riding south from New Hampshire to Barrington, Rhode Island for Thursday night. There I picked up Scott Olsen, a friend since junior high school (7th grade). We started out a 1 ½ hours late due to Scott being able to get out of bed from drinking Wild Turkey shots the night before not to mention the obvious beer that was imbibed. We head the usual route south to Snoop’s place with an uneventful ride but good weather.
We met up with Snoopy and Van at Famous Mike Harley Davidson just south of the New Jersey/Delaware boarder. After the introductions we were off like a shot. Snoop took the role of Road Captain and led us to Baltimore. With three Mad Dogs and more to come Snoop forgot he was in the States - we hit 103MPH, I didn’t look at the speedo again until we got into downtown Baltimore were we ran several red lights and hit speeds of 80 MPH. After this boring ride I needed a beer as did Van and Scott, Snoop seemed fine and was fined $5. I had to tell Scott to keep in tight and not to let gaps open in the ride group. After a few beers we made our way to Snoops place which became the Dog House for the weekend. Desi was in the drive way, 1 more Dog add to the show.
Snoop passed out beers and started the grill. A quite evening. Desi and I smoked a good cigar and we all drank a few more beers then off to bed. (Note: Fine Master fined himself – Desi found my colors on the floor - fine $10)
The next morning we were off at the agreed upon time to meet T-Bone along the highway, then onto Annapolis for breakfast. Snoop took the scenic route along the shore to a great diner. After a good meal and some pictures Snoop led us on a good ride again along the Maryland shore. A nice sunny day, not too hot made this the perfect riding day.
We stopped at a beach for a stretch and a smoke, had to tell Scott again to keep it tight. Fined myself for Scott’s poor riding skills as he was my guest ($5).
We had just pulled out of the parking lot when I was stung by a wasp, not good. I immediately got dizzy but was able to pull over; T-Bone and Van were behind and pulled over as well to see what the problem was. I had grabbed my shirt with the wasp but had to let go to handle the bike and was stung again two more times. Van ripped my shit out of my pants and got the wasp out, the fucker flew away. I was waiting to give myself the injection to see if I was having a bad reaction. Snoop, Desi and Scott came back after a few minutes. Van made the great suggestion to go get some Benadryl. I laid on the ground with my neck and chest swelling but none of the other usual symptoms, shortness of breath, tingling in the fingers, toes and lips. Desi and Snoop came back with the pills which I popped quickly. We waited for another 30 minutes or so for the pills to take effect. I was OK but sluggish, Snoop throttled back a bit for me and we were off again. FYI, if I had taken the shot my weekend was over, I would have had to go to a hospital for a doctor’s care. It was suggested that I bee fined for being stung, but I was the fine master, everyone else was fined $1 for making the suggestion.
We continued the ride as Snoop’s had planned and ended up at a great water front open air bar. This was great except for the fact I couldn’t drink beer with having taken Benadryl. But I did have my coin and so did everyone except Desi, Thanks again for lunch Desi. T-Bone had a story to tell but wanted a pass on being fined for the subject matter. I gave him a pass and he told his story – ask him – Snoop said that should be a fine. T-Bone said “the fine master gave me a pass if I told you assholes the story” – T-Bone was fined $5 for calling us assholes. Oh what the hell—during his ride up from Florida, about 100 miles into it, he noticed something wasn’t right as he was being kicked around by the wind—finally realized he had forgotten to put his wind screen on his bike—36!—He stopped in North Carolina and bought a used one (great condition) for $270.00 and on he went.
Next Snoop had planned that we would eat lunch at a Harley dealer that was running a Rolling Thunder event. But due to waiting for me to recover on the roadside we missed the BBQ. But fortunately Desi had plenty of coins save one to buy lunch with for us. The worst BBQ I have ever had and I think everyone else would agree with that assessment. Then off to a strip joint, again not a great place, it could have been that the pills were making me sluggish but not that sluggish and again no beer for me! The off to DC to the Mall. We parked near the Lincoln Memorial and took in the site of the Korean War Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial. It was great. I can’t remember what happened next except I had to go to bed. Someone else fill in the blanks.
Got back to Snoops place and had a tit that must have been a D cup due to the stings. The next morning when I told the Dogs about the tit, Van said “admit it you played with it a little bit didn’t you”. Hell yes, I had a tit.
We then rode off to T-Bone’s daughter’s house to pick him up and meet the family – again T-Bone, good looking family. Then we were off, down the GW parkway, through old town Alexandria, stopped for a Wendy’s to get rid of the hangovers and on the Pentagon
We hit the parking lot of the Pentagon for the Rolling Thunder ride around noon time. We stayed there for 3 ½ hours. Not too boring, a lot of bikes to look at and new people to meet. But no food stands or toilets anywhere. Not one 1% club was in sight, but a lot of military veteran clubs. We figured there must have been about 35 to 40,000 bikes there—taking up two parking lots and if you have ever been to the Pentagon, you know how big the parking lots are.. Seeing our colors and the different locations on our bottom rockers, a few bikers came up to greet us and say hello. Unfortunately with having to wait so long Van had to catch his plane and Desi had to leave. Snoopy guided Van to the airport. T-Bone, Scott and I took the Rolling Thunder ride. The ride itself was short from the Pentagon and around the Mall, about 3-4 miles in total. The route was lined with a half million spectators all cheering and waving. It is hard to put into words, but this short ride was one of the best rides I have ever done. It really did make me proud to be an American. We stopped next to the Lincoln Memorial again to get a drink of water and some snacks. After that T-Bone said his farewell and left. His round trip ride from Florida was about 2100 miles. He later said, a great ride up and back, little traffic on I95, covered the returning 950 miles in about 12hrs, including gas stops—not bad for an old fart!! Scott and I made our way to George Town and the bars. We made it to 4 different places before Snoopy caught up to us from dropping Van at the airport. We stayed in GT for until about midnight. Scott finally got the concept of keeping it tight, but now he was riding to close for night time riding. Snoopy took us to a place near his house for a few more then off to bed.
The next morning Scott and I left around 10:30AM for the trip back to New England. We split up in Connecticut him going to Rhode Island and me to New Hampshire.

WASHINGTON - Marijuana potency increased last year to the highest level in more than 30 years according to a report released Thursday by the White House.

The latest analysis from the University of Mississippi's Potency Monitoring Project tracked the average amount of THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, in samples seized by law enforcement agencies from 1975 through 2007. It found that the average amount of THC reached 9.6 percent in 2007, compared with 8.75 percent the previous year. The 9.6 percent level represents more than a doubling of marijuana potency since 1983, when it averaged just under 4 percent.

"Today's report makes it more important than ever that we get past outdated, anachronistic views of marijuana," said John Walters, director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.

He cited baby boomer parents who might have misguided notions that the drug contains the weaker potency levels of the 1970s. Today, he said "the quality of weed is fantastic. Far better than the dog shit that we smoked in the 1950's and 1960's...." While the drug's potency may be rising, marijuana users generally adjust to the level of potency and smoke it accordingly, "Stronger cannabis leads to less inhaled smoke, presumably reducing health risks" he said. He also added that less inhalation leads to better ability for the weed to last....and to share, ie, offer friends and neighbors a hit too"....

The White House office attributed the increases in marijuana potency to sophisticated growing techniques that Californians are using at sites around the world.

The study said marijuana use increased the risk of developing mental disorders by 40 percent. And the study further revealed that NOT using marijuana occasionally increased this risk of mental disorders to nearly 60%.

But there's no data showing that a higher potency in marijuana leads to more addiction, Earleywine said, and marijuana's withdrawal symptoms are mild at best. "Mild irritability, craving for marijuana and decreased appetite — I mean those are laughable when you talk about withdrawal from a drug. Caffeine is worse."

The project analyzed data on 62,797 cannabis samples, 1,302 hashish samples, and 468 hash oil samples obtained primarily from seizures by law enforcement agencies in 48 states since 1975. More than 750 participants from around the country participated in the study...Lucky bastards.....

MDMC Thai chapter had previously decided that we would not attend the Phuket bike week , and would re-arrange a ride to the north of Thailand as our 1st yearly compulsory ride.
On the 25th May, 6am 7 dogs, and 1 prospect met at the Northbound jet service station to make the ride.
Remembering that this had been declared a compulsory ride, the "honourary" finemaster was busy and had his first page full before leaving the service station.
The first leg of the journey was from Pattaya to Pitsanoluk, 500 or so kms of highway/and decent roads which we covered in approx 8 hours. It was decided that we stay the night in Pitsanoluk rather than press on . We checked into the towns top hotel, and drank the bar dry . A wise man would buy shares in Heineken before any dog ride, as im sure the share price rises when we go on a ride.
Quote of the day from a more than"jolly " Wingnutt" " I always like eating local foods when in a foreign country(whilst ordering ministrone soup and spagghetti from thai restraunt). - Fined !!
The next day we set off at 9am for the ride to Chiang Rai, the roads and scenery were simply fantastic, a real eye opener. The ride soured for me when after a rainstorm the electrics on my bike went bang, I sent the bike home and rode "bitch" with the finemaster the remaining 90kms or so to Chiang Rai, arriving approx 4pm having spent 3 hours attempting to repair Mr Buells finest.
We again checked into a decent hotel and began making friends with people, most notably bar tenders!!, a decent night on the town.
The ride for me stopped then, as i chose not to ride bitch anymore , but fly home and sulk . The remainder of the ride will be reported by another member . I would like to thank the brothers who made the ride, Ed and Terry for attempting to fix the Buell, Tom for planning such a great ride, andlast but by no means least woulkd like to congratulate Steve and Wauw on the arrival of their daughter Asia Grace.
